Roadworks planned Kirkwall
A temporary one-way system will be in use in Castle Street, Kirkwall, from tomorrow, Tuesday, to allow Orkney Islands Council (OIC) to undertake street improvement works.
Drivers will be able to turn into Castle Street from Junction Road and on into Broad Street but vehicles will not have access to Castle Street from Broad Street. A signed diversion via Clay Loan will be in place.
The council has said this marks the start of the Kirkwall Townscape Heritage Initiative’s (KTHI) Places and Spaces project.
