Road works scheduled for Castle Street car park

Road works are to be carried out at the Castle Street car park in Kirkwall, near to the entrance off Junction Road (opposite the Auld Motorhoose) this Thursday, January 13.

To enable the works to be carried out safely and to maintain access to the car park, half the entrance will be closed off at a time. According to OIC, this will cause a degree of difficulty in accessing the car park from either direction so folk are asked to take extra care.

The works are anticipated to be finished in a single day.

The council has apologised for the disruption that this may cause and has thanked the public in advance for its patience.
