Runners at the start line for 29th Hoy Half Marathon

One of the biggest events on Orkney’s sporting calendar is due to take place today — the 29th Hoy Half Marathon, which is set to get under way at 10.30am.

The annual event will also see a 5k Family Fun Run.

Paul Kerr finished first in last year’s half marathon, completing the 13.1-mile course in a time if 1.22.34.
