Academy pupils hit the high notes

A quintet of Stromness Academy pupils have secured spots with Scotland’s national Youth Training Choirs.

Following auditions at the end of last year, four pupils secured places in the National Youth Choir of Scotland Training Choir.  They are Aidan Wishart, Nyree Gunn, Leona Gray and India Sinclair.

Elena Morrison has been chosen to sing with the National Girls’ Training Choir.

Auditions were held by Christopher Bell, artistic director of the National Youth Choir of Scotland when he was in Orkney in September.
