The deadline for folk to be in with a chance of scooping a £1,900 prize just before Christmas is fast approaching — and folk are being urged to get their entries in before its too late.

Over the last couple of months, 95 shops and retailers have been running The Orcadian’s Loves Local Loyalty Card Competition — offering shoppers the opportunity to support Orkney’s fantastic breadth of businesses, but also to be in with a chance of winning a four-figure cash prize.

Launched last year, in response to the impact of the COVID pandemic, the competition helped generate at least £78,500 in revenue — with estimates showing that around £100,000 was spent during the nine-week competition.

This year, The Orcadian has received hundreds of entries so far — but there is still plenty of time to get those all-important five stickers, and make your Christmas dreams come true!

Entries have to be submitted by 10am, Friday, November 26. Full details can be found in The Orcadian.
