Death of woman ‘not being treated as suspicious’

The death of a woman in Kirkwall on Friday afternoon is not being treated as suspicious, Police Scotland have confirmed.

Officers were called to a Kirkwall address on Friday at around 4.30pm.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.30pm on Friday, 13 February, 2026, officers were called to an address in Kirkwall following the death of a woman.

“Her death is not being treated as suspicious.”
