Event to help local firms do business better with the OIC

Orkney Islands Council is hosting an event next week for local firms who have, or would like, a business link with the authority.

The “Meet the Buyer” day, at Orkney College, on August 25, will cover topics ranging from the schemes businesses can register with to enhance opportunity and streamline their applications when tendering for work with the Council, to new procurement legislation.

Gillian Morrison, the OIC’s executive director of corporate services, said: “This is part of the council’s ongoing commitment to the Orkney business community and to local economic development.

“We’d encourage anyone doing business with the council, or thinking of doing so in the future, to come along and find out how you can work with us in the most efficient way for your business.”
