Ferry business for sale
A ferry service that has transported passengers between Orkney and John O’Groats for over 50 years is now up for sale.
John O’Groats Ferries is currently run by Fred and Deborah Fermor and Deborah’s brother Ivor Thomas. The firm was started in 1971 by Deborah and Ivor’s parents, Ian and Sheila Thomas.
After “a happy time” running the service, the business is now up for sale, with the owners asking for offers of over £1.25million.
