Flagstone repairs forces Stromness street closures

Flagstone repairs are due to be carried out in Stromness next week, leading to sections of the street being closed.

Monday and Tuesday will see the area from the bottom of the Back Road to the Pierhead closed.

Work will move then top the stretch from the Pierhead to Church Road from late Tuesday until Wednesday.

The final piece of work will see work done between Alfred Street and the South End from late Wednesday through to Friday.

The sections will be closed to vehicles from 9am to 12 noon and then again from 1pm to 3.30pm. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout.
