In this week’s The Orcadian

This week’s edition of The Orcadian is available in shops and online today.

On the front page, we share the news that Orkney charity, The Peedie Retreat, has reached a fundraising milestone that could see the doors of their dream accommodation open next year.

Speaking to The Orcadian Anna Johnston, chairwoman of the charity that is planning to build a retreat for folk living with cancer, MS, Parkinson’s and MND, has thanked the Orkney community for all they have done.

The paper also includes coverage of both Christmas Day ba’s, and a two page preview of this years Stromness Yule log pull.

There is also a special Kirkwall Grammar School take-over edition of The Peedie Orcadian featuring reports, poetry and art from the school’s pupils.
