In this week’s The Orcadian
This week’s edition of The Orcadian is now in shops and is available online, here.
Included in this week’s newspaper is our eight-page newspaper for our younger readers, The Peedie Orcadian.
Our front page this week looks at the impact of Road Equivalent Tariff (RET) could have on our isles communities following last week’s announcement from the Scottish Government that Orkney Islands Council is set to receive £7.85million to fund the county’s internal ferry routes.
This funding will also enable all-year-round Sunday sailings for some communities, and the introduction of RET which will pave the way for cheaper fares.
