Invitation to view Garson housing proposals
People are invited to a drop-in session to view plans for the future development of Garson, in Stromness, in advance of a planning application being submitted later this year.
The proposed plans could see a mix of serviced sites and housing provided by Orkney Islands Council and Orkney Housing Association.
The drop-in session is on Friday, August 19, between 9.15am and 5.45pm, at the Xodus offices, Garson Place, Stromness.
As well as a display of plans, there will be an opportunity to talk with the architect, staff from the council’s strategic development team and OHAL and to provide feedback.
Stromness Councillor, Ian Johnstone, said: “The development of the Garson area presents a significant opportunity to provide much-needed, affordable housing in Stromness. I hope local people will take the opportunity to pop along to the drop-in sessions and give their views.”
