Retail Assistant

Would you like to work in one of Scotland’s most cherished local bookshops?

We are looking for a friendly, outgoing and motivated person to join our team at The Orcadian Bookshop, 14 Albert Street, Kirkwall.

The post is part-time, working Monday, Wednesday and alternate Thursday/Saturday, from 9am – 5pm with occasional additional hours available.

The Role

A passion for books, and a desire to assist customers with a smile are both key qualities for the role.

Previous retail experience would be advantageous, but not essential, and being skilled at dealing with emails, telephone enquiries and social media will also be an asset.
