Lecture on the Stewart earls of Orkney

The final lecture in a series, run by the Thing Project, on the subject of medieval politics and law takes place in Kirkwall tomorrow evening, Friday, when Dr Peter Anderson, former deputy keeper of the National Archives of Scotland, will speak on the Stewart Earls of Orkney.

Dr Anderson, a native of Orkney, is the author of Robert Stewart (1982), and Black Patie, earl of Orkney, lord of Shetland (1993). His omnibus volume, The Stewart Earls of Orkney, about both earls is due to be published on June 19.

The lecture takes place at 7.30pm in Orkney College lecture theatre. Admission is free.
