Little to cheer in dour Rendall stalemate
There was little to cheer or get excited about in the first match of the 2016 Parish Cup semi-finals as Rendall and Westray played out a dour 0-0 stalemate.
A large crowd descended on The Rockery in Rendall, but there was precious little quality in a match which saw Orkney striker Chris Hellewell see red for dissent and therefore will miss the second-leg in two weeks time.
The home side will perhaps feel they should have had at least a goal to show for their greater ambition throughout the match, however they lacked the creative spark required to break through a resolute North Isles side.
