Nature Festival programme launches

The programme for this year’s Orkney Nature festival launches today, Saturday, with bookings for individual events also opening.

This year’s event is part of Visit Scotland’s Homecoming Scotland 2014 campaign and organisers say they hope to attract interest in the unique wildlife-watching experience that Orkney offers.

Highlights of the 2014 festival includes a wildlife cruise on the mv Hamnavoe and a special 19th century themed tour, created in partnership with Highland Park Distillery, which will see attendees enjoy a dram and a tour round the RSPB Hobbister reserve, guided by a naturalist plucked straight from the Victorian era.
