With ship-to-ship oil transfers between tankers returning to Scapa Flow, the future is looking brighter for OIC’s Marine Services, according to those at the head of the service.

The Flow had been almost desolate in recent years due to a host of circumstances, but tanker traffic is now returning to the area, providing more work for pilots, pilot-boat crews, and Orkney Towage.

Further details on the issue in The Orcadian, out today.
