OIC enforcement policy consultation
OIC’s environmental health and trading standards enforcement policy has been published for public consultation.
The draft policy covers food and health and safety services and incorporates other related regulatory enforcement activities which come into play during enforcement, such as licensing.
The policy aims to ensure enforcement is carried out consistently and with proportionate use of powers and resources.
The draft is available at www.orkney.gov.uk and comments should be submitted to the council’s environmental health and trading standards department, in writing, by Friday, August 5, 2011.
