One week left to register to vote

People who are yet to register to vote have just a week to meet the registration deadline for the UK Parliamentary Election.

With seven days to go, the Electoral Commission and the Electoral Registration Officer for Orkney and Shetland, Michael Forbes, are calling for anyone still to register to go online and do so.

This can be done at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote before the deadline for registration falls on Monday, April 20.
