Orkney gears up for Christmas tractor run

The route will be around 14 miles long and will take between one hour and an hour and a half to complete.

Plans to hold a Christmas tractor run through Kirkwall have been met with overwhelming support over the past weeks, as the number taking part has surpassed 140.

On Wednesday, December 29, a mile-long line of Christmas light-laden tractors will travel through Kirkwall to raise funds for CLAN Cancer Support and the Orkney MS Therapy Centre.

The route, as featured in last week’s edition of The Orcadian, will be around 14 miles long and will take between one hour and an hour and a half to complete.
