Orkney squad to tackle Thurso announced

Orkney FC manager Andrew Corsie, has announced his squad for Saturday’s North Caledonian League fixture against Thurso.

Axel Bondoux and James Tait are named in the 16 for the first time this season, while the likes of Robert Gray, Doug McAlister and Joe Wilson will all be looking to stake a claim for a starting place.

Orkney will be without the services of young duo Darren McLean and Aiden Drever however. They have been selected to play for Brora Rangers Under 21s, who are in Scottish Youth Cup action against Cove Rangers, on Sunday.

The full Orkney squad is: Davy Leonard, Robert Gray, Steven Edwards, Erik Bews, Doug McAlister, Gareth Manson, Keith Harcus, John Pickles, James Tait, Axel Bondoux, Joe Wilson, Steven Miller, Chris Simpson, Chris Hellewell, Mark Berry and Steven Hellewell.

The match kicks-off on Saturday at 12.30pm, with Kirkwall Grammar School as the venue.
