Orkney win rugby sevens

The Orkney team won the club’s annual rugby sevens tournament played this afternoon at the Pickaquoy playing fields, their third victory in a row.

The defending champions ran out comfortable winners over the West Warriors by 41 points to 5 in the final.

Caithness had been due to contest the final, however had to leave early to catch the ferry home, with the young team from the West stepping up to take their place.

In a closely contested plate final the Exiles edged out the Auld Bulls 28-17.
