Police are appealing for information following the theft of items from the Italian Chapel on Lamb Holm.

Three wooden plaques depicting the ‘stations of the cross’ were removed from the chapel sometime between the end of July and yesterday, Tuesday, August 12.

The carved plaques are approximately 6 inches by 8 inches, with a small wooden cross on the top edge.

Each plaque is different as they depict Jesus Christ’s journey to the cross. The plaques also have engraved Roman numerals on them, with the three missing plaques numerals IV, VI and X.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Kirkwall Police Station on 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
