Search for missing crew resumes

The search for the missing crew from the cargo vessel Cemfjord has resumed at first light this morning.

The lifeboats involved in the search yesterday have been relaunched, and numerous Coastguard teams are also searching a wide area of coastline on both sides of the Pentland Firth.

Despite the upturned hull of the vessel being spotted yesterday, there has been no trace of the eight crew of the vessel.

Shetland Coastguard is co-ordinating the major search operation.
