Seven try victory for Orkney RFC
Seven tries, one penalty and four conversions saw Orkney RFC ease to a comprehensive 46-5 victory over Livingston this afternoon on a dry and sunny day at Pickaquoy.
A simple James Linklater penalty had put Orkney ahead in a poor first half before a quick-fire double of converted tries from Phillip Ross and Darren McLean put Orkney in firm control at half-time.
The second half was one-sided with Ross adding to his tally with a contender for try of the season; McLean getting his second; and Sean Cursiter, William Thompson, and Scott Russell adding further gloss on an emphatic win.
