Understrength Orkney suffer heavy defeat in Motherwell

A very understrength Orkney RFC side suffered a 95-3 dismantling at the hands of Dalziel this afternoon, as Orkney’s first season back in the national leagues ended on a low note.

With no recognised stand-off or scrum-half in their ranks, Graham Poke kicked the visitors only points of the match early on.

Despite the heavy defeat, Orkney can still look back on what has been a hugely encouraging first season back in the national leagues, finishing mid-table in BT National League Division 3.
