Uppies and Doonies gather again for New Year games

After a win each on Christmas Day, the Uppies and Doonies face each other again today for the New Year’s Day ba’ games.

The New Year’s Day Boys’ ba’ will be thrown up by Ba’ committee member Sandy Keldie at 10am, with the Uppie boys looking to stop their Doonie counterparts making it two wins this season.

The New Year’s Day Men’s ba’ has been donated and will be thrown up by Jim Baillie – winner of the 1990 New Year’s Day Men’s game – at 1pm. After Christmas Day’s Uppie victory, the Doonie men will be determined to stop an Uppie double.
