Wind halts recycling collections in the west

The council says that due to the high winds today, the authority had to suspend the recycling collections in Area H (West Mainland, Stromness Rural, Sandwick and Birsay) and Area K (Finstown, Stenness East, and Orphir) for today.

The OIC added that Finstown village will still be picked up, and said that householders can put any extra recycling out on the next collection date and it will still be picked up.
