2015 finalists meet in Parish Cup semi-final

In a repeat of last year's final Stromness and Holm will meet. Holm will be determined to avenge last year's defeat.
In a repeat of last year’s final, Stromness and Holm will meet at the semi-final stage.

Last year’s Parish Cup finalists, Stromness and Holm will face each other in The Orcadian Parish Cup semi-finals.

Stromness caused an upset last year, beating a star-studded Holm side 2-0 in the final at Picky to lift the famed football prize for the first time in 29 years. Both teams look in excellent form, having eased past St Ola and Sanday comfortably, as Holm — in their sixth consecutive semi-final — look to end a losing run that sits at four final defeats in a row.

In the round’s other tie, Rendall face three-time winners Westray. It has been six years since the North Isles side reached the final, while Rendall are eyeing up a Parish Cup final spot for the first time in their history.

The first-legs are due to be played on Sunday, July 10. The Westray v Rendall second-leg is scheduled to be played on Sunday, July 24, while Holm v Stromness is scheduled for Sunday, August 7.
