Stromness Museum — Summer Exhibition

RAF 100 — Book Signing and Talk

Tractor Working Day

Art to Like @ Northlight
April 7, 2018 2:00 pm - 5:00 pmThis Saturday sees Northlight Gallery in Stromness launch its Art to Like open exhibition — a mixed show of work from both well known and up-and-coming Orkney artists.
According to Cary Welling, who runs the Gallery, the aim of this show is to consolidate recognition of individual artists’ developing work and look forward to seeing more of it.
Art to Like is on show at Northlight until Wednesday, April 25.
Dounby Athletic Club — Quiz Night

Meanwhile, Lucano offers a fine selection of authentic Italian cuisine in a warm and welcoming atmosphere — Plus, did you know kids eat free all winter, including Easter holidays! The newly reopened West End Hotel will also be serving food for all the family throughout the weekend.
If it’s a light bit or a quick coffee you fancy, Trenabies Cafe Bistro will be open this Saturday 8.30am — 5.30pm, serving hot and cold beverages, food, and homebakes.

Coffee Mornings & Car Boot Sales
April 6, 2018If you fancy a wee catch up with friends — a cup of tea, a few home bakes, and maybe even a bargain or two — why not nip along to one or more of the coffee mornings or car boot sales on around the county, this weekend?
On Saturday morning, April 7, there will will be a coffee morning hosted by the Peedie Kirk URC on Palace Road, Kirkwall, with sales tables, raffles, bottle stalls, and bakes aplenty, starting at 10.30am.
Sunday looks to see a fine offering of bric-a-brac, jumble, clothers, and much more at the Cromarty Hall, St Margaret’s Hope for its Spring Extravaganza Sale, running from 11am until 4pm.
