A fundraising musical trip down memory lane

The Big Reunion will have the audience at the Pickaquoy Centre “dancing through the decades” tonight, Saturday.

The charity event will bring together many of Orkney’s most popular bands from years gone by for one special night of music and memories.

The gig is raising money for cancer charities CLAN and CLIC Sargent and the line-up includes Country Suede, Kelowna, Three Peace Sweet, Shogun, Blue Mother and The Orcades.

Speaking this week, organiser Gwenda Shearer, said: “I have had emails, texts, phone calls and people stopping me on the street, telling me how much they are looking forward to seeing all these special bands back on stage again. We couldn’t have asked for better feedback.

“All the musicians are really excited too and can’t wait to get up on stage to roll back the years!”
