Committee gives the go ahead to Harray turbine

After a site visit earlier this week, planning permission has been granted for a 22-metre-high wind turbine on a farm in Harray.

The application by Mervyn Sandison of Hindatoon, Grimeston Road, Harray, was discussed by the OIC’s planning and protective services committee today, Wednesday, the last meeting of the current council session.

The application, which had attracted four objections from neighbours, was unanimously approved.
