Comprehensive win for Orkney FC over Sutherland United

Orkney FC eventually ran out comfortable winners against a depleted Sutherland United in today’s North Caledonian League clash at Kirkwall Grammar School.

Although controlling much of the first-half Orkney went in ahead by just a single goal, courtesy of John Pickles.

Sutherland had a spell of good play at the start of the second half but Orkney responded and three goals in quick succession from Erik Bews, Steven Budge and a second for John Pickles saw the home side kill of the game as a contest.

Sutherland scored a late consolation, meaning the game ended 4-1.
