Councillor appointed to board of Visit Scotland

North Isles councillor Stephen Hagan is one five new members appointed to the board of VisitScotland.

The announcement was made by tourism minister Fergus Ewing today, Thursday.

The three-year appointment ends on October 31, 2018, is part-time and attracts remuneration of £343.12 per day, for a time commitment of two days per month.

Making the announcement, the Scottish Government added that Councillor Hagan is also a non-executive director on the board of David MacBrayne Limited, for which he receives £314 per day, for a time commitment of “approximately three days per month”.
