Drama productions on tour

Three of the plays from this year’s drama festival will be performed at the Gable End Theatre, Hoy, tonight, Friday.

The Stromness Academy Players will present their take on the Norwegian folk-tale The Two Brothers, while the Alan Bennett play, Say Something Happened, by Kirkwall Arts Club (Third Age Players) will also be performed.

The final play in Friday night’s line-up is Cheese, penned by Lindsay Hall, which was the Hoy and Walls Entertainment Group’s entry at this year’s festival.

The show starts at 8pm.

Then tomorrow, Saturday, the Birsay Drama Group will be performing their SCDA play Randy’s Reel in the Birsay Hall. Sharing the stage will be Palace Players (Bishops) and their production of Babysitting Calvin.

The performances begin at 7pm.
