Drop in to view proposals for Weyland Housing Development

Orkney Islands Council is hosting a public drop-in session next week, to view plans for a development on the outskirts of Kirkwall in advance of a planning application being submitted later this year.

The plans are for Weyland, which lies to the northeast of Kirkwall along Carness Road with Weyland Bay in close proximity. The proposal is for a development of 46 homes being developed over two phases.

The drop-in session takes place on Tuesday, June 23, between noon and 6.30pm at The Life Centre, East Road, Kirkwall. There will be a display of plans, as well as an opportunity to talk directly with the architect and staff from the council’s housing services.

There will also be a display of the proposed plans available to view at OIC Customer Services, School Place, Kirkwall. The display will be on show for the week commencing June 22.
