With last weekend’s match against Irvine postponed, Orkney RFC were unable to complete the first half of their fixtures of the 2015/16 season but now look ahead to starting the second half as they welcome Perthshire to Pickaquoy this weekend.

Aiming to continue their good form, Orkney were hoping to make it three consecutive wins in BT National League Division 3 against bottom side Irvine, but with a weather warning in place for most of Scotland, it was agreed to postpone the game until a later date.

Perthshire took full advantage of the call-off, beating Dalziel 40-16 to leapfrog Orkney into fifth place, four points ahead of the home side. However, the islanders will be keen to avenge a 31-28 defeat to Perthshire in their opening league game of the season and will have plenty of motivation and incentive going into the game, knowing that a bonus point victory will take them back above Perthshire.

Kick-off on Saturday is scheduled for 1.30pm.
