Flood defences in place in the ‘Hope

Due to the high tide and surge levels forecast, Orkney Islands Council will be erecting the flood defences in Saint Margarets Hope, this afternoon.

According to OIC, there will be a pallet of sandbags onsite for the public to use if needed.

The council have asked members of the public to remove any parked cars from the Cromarty Slip/Front Road area.
