Freeview retune in run up to mobile broadband roll-out
Freeview viewers in the county are reminded that they have to retune their TV equipment on Wednesday, July 24, as local airwaves are cleared for the planned roll-out of 4G mobile broadband
The freeview information provider, Digital UK, has said that programmes will be disrupted from midnight, on the morning of the 24th, as channels and HD services are moved to new frequencies. The company has also said work at the main Keelylang Hill transmitter is expected to be completed by 6am and viewers can retune at any time after this
Services at the Burger Hill and Pierowall transmitters may be off-air until midday however only viewers receiving their TV signal from Keelylang Hill will need to retune.
