Fundraising cyclists take to the road

Motorists should watch out for cyclists tomorrow, Sunday, with the fundraising Cycle for Orkney event taking place.

There are four routes on the day – a family friendly 6 mile route around Kirkwall and Scapa, as well as 20, 40 and 60-mile routes for more experienced riders.

The day’s events begin at 8.30am, at the Army Reserve Centre, with the family event. Participants of the three longer routes will set off at 11am, from the Kirkwall branch of the Royal British Legion.

The money raised will be donated to Macmillan, Dial-a-bus, and the Fishermen’s Mission.
