It’s Peedie Orcadian week!
This month’s edition of The Peedie Orcadian is included absolutely free inside last Thursday’s edition of The Orcadian.
The supplement, which is made for and by Orkney’s young folk, features a front-page story all about the huge efforts that are being made here in Orkney to tackle the problem of plastic pollution.
Alongside lots of stories, we also have a book review from nine-year-old Dorothy Bremner and this month’s cartoon was made by eleven-year-old Raven Lea.
The Big Interview sees Stefany Besant, from P6 at North Walls Community School, grill Mick Harcus, from Kirkwall Fire Station, all about being a fireman.
This month’s issue also features not one, but three, chances to win prizes. We have a special Easter Egg hunt within the pages of the Peedie Orcadian, where winners could get their hands on one of two massive easter bundle of goodies.
We also have our monthly Find Gablo competition. This month, those who enter, stand a chance to win a meal for four at the Pickaquoy Café plus a special Peedie Orcadian goody bag.
Our monthly crossword competition is also on page six, with this month’s prize bring a £10 voucher for The Orcadian Bookshop.
