Kirkwall man pleads guilty to three charges
A 42-year-old man has pleaded guilty to charges of assault, breaching the peace and failing to comply with a court condition.
Norman Garson Wood, of Buttquoy Park, Kirkwall, assaulted a man at Queen Sonja Kloss, Kirkwall, on June 6.
Appearing, from custody, at Kirkwall Sheriff Court, Wood also admitted breaching the peace, on June 16, by conducting himself in a disorderly manner at the Blide Trust premises. He refused to leave, shouted, swore and seized the manager and struggled with him. On June 19, Wood disobeyed a court condition by entering the Blide Trust after being ordered not to.
The case was adjourned until July 12, for reports. Wood was bailed on the condition that he does not to approach, or contact, the complainer, and does not enter the Blide Trust.
