LOGANAIRThe latest in a long-running series of incidents surrounding Loganair services saw an aircraft flying between Glasgow and Shetland make an emergency landing, on one engine, at Aberdeen Airport yesterday afternoon.

A Loganair spokesman said: ”Flight BE6916 departed from Glasgow yesterday afternoon heading for Sumburgh. Following a cautionary indication, the captain elected to shutdown the aircraft’s right engine and diverted to Aberdeen airport.

“Customers disembarked the aircraft as normal and were transferred on to the evening flight to Sumburgh.”
