Orkney Motocross Club will celebrate its 50th anniversary this weekend with two days of entertaining racing action.

Riders from south, as well as current and past Orkney members will converge on the Bu in Burray on Saturday, and then Northfield on Sunday for a memorable two-day celebration.

Established in 1966, the club has thrived over the years and now regularly holds racing meets, attracting riders of all ages. Various classes such as twinshock, super evo, evo, modern, and school persons’ — suiting all bikes and riders — will race on Saturday, with the club hoping to see many riders from south, as well as old members of the club.

Moving across to Northfield, also in Burray, Sunday is set to be a mainly fun day of racing, with anyone with an old bike — even if not racing — encouraged to take it along.

Signing-on on both days is set to open at 9am, with racing due to start at 10am.
