Northern Isles Digital Forum meets in Kirkwall

The next meeting of the Northern Isles Digital Forum will take place this Friday, July 26th, in Kirkwall.

The meeting will offer Orkney residents the opportunity to express concerns over the issues surrounding Internet and mobile connections in Orkney during discussions with representatives from BT, Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) and the Countryside Alliance.

The director of BT Scotland, Brendan Dick, will feature as a guest to the forum. Mr Dick, along with highlands and islands enterprise will oversee a £146 million roll out of super-fast broadband to 75 per cent of the population in north Scotland over the next few years.

The forum will be held at the St. Magnus Centre from 1pm to 3pm.
