NorthLink put on extra sailing on Pentland Firth route

In order to accommodate passengers sailing between Stromness and Scrabster this weekend NorthLink Ferries has created an additional sailing this Friday.

The additional round trip will sail at 11am from Stromness to Scrabster, with a Scrabster to Stromness return at 1.15pm.

NorthLink’s regular sailings at 6.30am and 4.45pm are already at full capacity, say the company.

Stuart Garrett, managing director of NorthLink Ferries, said: “With Hamnavoe already at capacity we are keen to make sure all those wishing to cross the Pentland Firth this weekend are able to do so.”
