Orcadians doing their bit for Sport Relief

Sport Relief events are running through Orkney this weekend, as people in the county do their bit for the biennial SportRelief1charity event.

A number of events are taking place at the Pickaquoy Centre in Kirkwall, with people being urged to take part in gym activities and a fundraising swim, among other attractions.

A roller disco is also due to go ahead tomorrow, as well as a Squash-a-thon, which is due to run from 9am until 8pm on Sunday.

Sunday will also see members of the public taking to the centre’s running track to take part in the Sport Relief Kirkwall Mile, in which runners and walkers can participate in one, three or six-mile events.

More information on the activities can be found at www.pickaquoy.co.uk
