Orkney FC come out on top in five goal thriller

Orkney FC won a thrilling five-goal cup tie this afternoon as they progressed to the next round of the Ness Cup, beating Alness United 3-2 at Dalmore Park.

The momentum swung from end-to-end in a game which Alness took the lead after 30 minutes. Thorfinn Stout replied almost immediately for the visitors before an Alness free-kick put the home side back in front before half-time.

Stout got his second of the day for the islanders to level the match at 2-2 before Ross McQuillan bundled home the winner in the closing stages.
