Orkney RFC look to finish league campaign on a high
Orkney rugby club are looking to wrap up their Caledonia League Division One campaign with a win over bottom-of-the-table Glenrothes tomorrow afternoon.
Win or lose, Orkney are guaranteed to finish third in the league, with Glenrothes resigned to relegation next season whatever the result.
Despite this, club captain William Thomson said both sides will be eager to win.
“We beat them [Glenrothes] quite comfortably earlier in the season and we will be looking for a good high score this weekend,” he said.
“We have had a lot of good performances this season and we have only lost one game at home, so we’re confident we can win this one.”
Kick-off is at 12.30pm on the Pickaquoy centre pitch.
