Orkney set to finish 2015/16 campaign in Motherwell

Orkney RFC are due to finish their BT National League Division 3 campaign tomorrow in Motherwell as the islanders prepare to face Dalziel in their final match of the season.

A 10-0 home victory over Irvine last weekend ended their home campaign on a positive note, but Orkney will be desperate to conclude what has been a hugely encouraging campaign back in the national leagues on a high with victory over relegation-threatened Dalziel.

The home side will play their penultimate match of the season on Saturday but sit just one point above East Kilbride in tenth — the final relegation spot. With East Kilbride due to travel to Perthshire, Dalziel will be determined to keep their league fate in their own hands. Orkney are in fifth on 56 points — level with Perthshire — but could — if results go their way — finish as high as fourth.

Orkney beat the Motherwell side 29-3 back in September.

The match is scheduled to kick off at 11am.
